Guide to Nice & Perfect Legs

1. DIY Moisturising Treatment
Frequent wearing of high heels dries your feet easily, and thickens the skin on the back of your heels. Try this weekly treatment : Before you go to bed, apply moisturiser liberally on your feet and put on a pair of socks. For the rough skin on heels, use a foot buffer to gently scrub off the dead skin, then apply moisturising cream.

2. Make Light Exercise A Habit
Exercise is a key to pretty legs. You don't have to be a gym rat or work up a sweat in order to get results. I created my own leg toning routine: Stand straight and extend each leg. Doing this for 15 minutes daily helps to sculpt your legs. Yoga & Dancing are good too. Walking, jogging and cycling are ideal ways to tone up your leg muscles as well.

3. Massage To Ease Water Retention
Massage is actually the best way to improve blood circulation and relieve water retention in your legs. Not only can it relax your muscles, it can also help to detox too! If your feet are swollen, prop them up on a small cushion when you sleep at night.

4. Take Hot Baths To Detox
Very often, thick legs are a result of water retention. Nowadays, most woman stay in an air-conditioned environment all the time, so they hardly get a change to sweat, let alone detok and relieve water retention. Baths can help the body to detox and improve blood circulation. Using ingredients such as chilli, ginger, TCM, Japanese Bath Salts or even milk for baths are good too.

1. Drink More Water
There's a myth that you shouldn't drink more water if you have water retention. However, Water helps to flush out excess water and toxins in the body.

2. Massage To Relieve Water Retention & Aches
Massage a moisturising product like Clarins' Energizing Emulsion in an upward motion, from the ankles to the buttocks in long, sweeping strokes. Another technique is to hold your feet in your palms, and knead with your fingers using a squeeze-and-release motion.

3. Exfoliate Regularly
It is highly recommended that you use a scrub on your legs two to three times a week. Clarins' Smoothing Body Scrub also contains shea butter which moisturises the skin and repairing extracts to heal blemishes.

4. Soak Your Feet In Warm Water
Add a few drops of relaxing essential oil like lavender into a basin of warm water and soak for about 15-30minutes.

Does all these look familiar? I actually took this information from the 8 Days Magazine. Find it very useful and so I decided to let you guys know about it.

Especially for those who have not read 8 Days! Enjoy!
